The main feature of the Insitec particle sizing system is the ability to monitor the cement fineness (and therefore estimate compressive strength) in real-time. Continuous representative extraction of sample takes place in two parts:
Primary sampling A screw auger is installed in the process stream. Sample is extracted continuously (according to ISO 8656-1) and is delivered into a second smaller chute, the bottom of which is the return leg into the process stream. Representativity ensured used variable screw, enabling increased sampling from process stream edges.
Secondary sampling An eductor system is used to continuously aspirate cement from the secondary stream, disperse it correctly and then deliver it as a high velocity jet to the measurement zone of the analyzer. Measured cement is then returned to the secondary leg for re-injection into the process stream.
Process interface
The Auger system is supplied by Iteca, a company which has over 30 year experience in development and installation of On Line Analyzers and Controllers for Cement & Lime industry
Abrasion resistant components are used such as a ceramic venturi in the sample eductor.
